Washing Instructions Prepping your new nappies We know how exciting it is to receive fluff mail and wanting to use them immediately but for better performance soak your new nappy inserts overnight in cold water to increase absorbency. Change more frequently until maximum absorbency is reached, around 8 washes. Wash all parts of your nappy once before use in warm water. The open-air flow helps reduce ammonia smells and pro-long the life of your nappies.
Pee nappies can be placed straight into your dry pail. Rinse under hot water. I threw mine right into the washing machine mud and all, but if you have a lot of leaves and sticks in your fluffies I would suggest brushing them out a bit.
Find a clean surface, and starting from the top of the fluffies brush out the fur in short strokes to get all the tangles out. Continue brushing to the bottom of the fluffies. Be patient, and fairly gentle — treat the fur like you would the hair on your own head.
You can also spray some de-tangler in the fur to speed up the brushing process as well doing this also doubles as a way to make them smell nice. Hang your fluffies up to air dry. I like to use a pants hanger, but if you have an outdoor clothesline you can hang it there too. Start from the top like before, brushing in short strokes. Brush out the sides, and all the way to the bottom. Just keep brushing…Just keep brushing….. The water will wash out any loose dirt in your Fluffies. You want to get as much surface dirt out as you can during this step. Step 4: Use a mild detergent and soak your Fluffies in warm water. If your Fluffies are really dirty, you can use a small rag to wipe the dirt out. But be sure to wipe gently and not scrub.
Scrubbing can tangle and damage your Fluffies. Step 5: Rinse out the detergent with cold water. Repeat step if needed. Step 7: Use a small plastic comb to brush the fur of your Fluffies. Be sure to brush downward towards the bottom where it tapers. This will make your Fluffies nice and soft again. By completing this form you are signing up to receive marketing emails from us.
